The Hungry for the Culture "Sign in with Apple" feature on iOS devices is a fast, easy and private way to utilize our app features.
About Sign in with Apple
When you see a Sign in with Apple button, it means you can set up an account using your Apple ID. No need to use a social media account, fill out forms, or choose another new password. The feature was integrated into the Hungry for the Culture app to respect your privacy and keep you in control of your personal information.
Use Sign in with Apple
To use Sign in with Apple, launch the Hungry for the Culture app and tap the Sign in with Apple button. Review your information, and sign in quickly and securely with Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode.
Privacy and Security
At your first sign in, we only ask for your name and email address to set up an account for you.
You can use Hide My Email—Apple's private email relay service—to create and share a unique, random email address that forwards to your personal email. This lets you receive useful messages from the app without sharing your personal email address.
Sign in with Apple won’t track or profile you as you use Hungry for the Culture. We only retain the information that’s needed to make sure you can sign in and manage your account.
Security is built in to Sign in with Apple with two-factor authentication. If you use an Apple device, you can sign in and re-authenticate with Face ID or Touch ID anytime.
Hide My Email / Private Relay
To facilitate communication between Hungry for the Culture and our users, Sign in with Apple gives users the ability to use an anonymous email address: Private Relay. If you choose to hide your email when you create a Hungry for the Culture account using Sign in with Apple, a unique, random email address is created so your personal email can stay private. Your username on the website is automatically set with your private relay information.
For example, if j.appleseed@icloud.com is your Apple ID, your unique, random email address may look like dpdcnf87nu@privaterelay.appleid.com. This means your Hungry for the Culture user name is: dpdcnf87nu. Once a username has been set, it cannot be changed. You will need to use this private relay email address when logging in on any other device, including desktops/computers and in your mobile browser.
To see your private email address within the app, please visit the profile button in the bottom menu of the app. Click "Settings", then "Edit Profile" to view your account information.
